When I plot a hole to the ORIGINAL equation, I will get the result of undefined or 0/0. So to be able to find the real y-value of that hole, I need to use the SIMPLIFIED equation to plug the x-value in. The hole is not included in the answer; so on the graph, it will plot with an OPEN CIRCLE. The purpose of the hole is because the denominator cannot be equal 0. I only find hole when the equation has common factors that can cross off.

Unit G Summary #6: Plot a Hole
When I plot a hole to the ORIGINAL equation, I will get the result of undefined or 0/0. So to be able to find the real y-value of that hole, I need to use the SIMPLIFIED equation to plug the x-value in. The hole is not included in the answer; so on the graph, it will plot with an OPEN CIRCLE. The purpose of the hole is because the denominator cannot be equal 0. I only find hole when the equation has common factors that can cross off.
