As x approaches the positive infinity, f of x will be a specific number. As x approaches the negative infinity, f of x will be a specific number. As we go to the right, f of x will be a number which it will be the horizontal asymptote. As we go to the left, f of x will be the same number as we go to the right, which it will also be the horizontal asymptote. The limit notation actually tells us what the horizontal asymptote is.

Unit G Summary #2: Limit Notation for Horizontal Asymptote
As x approaches the positive infinity, f of x will be a specific number. As x approaches the negative infinity, f of x will be a specific number. As we go to the right, f of x will be a number which it will be the horizontal asymptote. As we go to the left, f of x will be the same number as we go to the right, which it will also be the horizontal asymptote. The limit notation actually tells us what the horizontal asymptote is.
